The 47th Little Brown Jug Junior Golf Classic was played at Hidden Valley Golf Course on July 15 with 59 area youth ages 7-17 participating. The participants played opponents in their age group in the 9 hole event and enjoyed a time of lunch, door prizes and trophy awards. The number of participants required the event to be played in a morning and afternoon flight, with lunch and door prize awards scheduled between the two flights.
The City of Delaware and Hidden Valley Golf Course provided a golf course that was in great shape and a convenient gathering place to house the participants during lunch and the awards ceremonies.
The Kiwanis Club of Delaware County presented the event as part of their focus on supporting youth, while following their motto 'Improving the lives of children, one community at a time".
