Facebook friends: After a period of professional pain like a difficult job search, it's incredibly hard to trust that good things are coming.
"Let it happen," is a plea for hope, but it’s also an invitation for the rest of us to act.
We can be the reason someone feels safe enough to let good things happen again.
It doesn't take grand gestures. It can be as simple as:
💡Sharing what you know. Your contact or a job lead could be the breakthrough they've been waiting for.
💡Being empathetic. Sometimes the kindest thing is to just listen and acknowledge how tough things are.
💡Offering encouragement. You never know who is masking their struggle. A positive word from you could change the entire trajectory of their day.
Sometimes, our simple act of kindness is the proof someone needs that a softer life really does exist.
