It's hard to believe, but back-to-school season is already just around the corner. And we have you covered!

We'll be at the Westerville Back to School Bash tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at Westerville North High School at 950 County Line Road.

Stop by and chat with us about all of the school-based services we fund, meet other vendors and agencies, and even pick up some free school supplies if you're among the first 200 children there.

Our grief support provider Cornerstone of Hope is hosting a Memorial Butterfly Release event in Morrow County to honor loved ones who were recently lost. It's scheduled for Saturday, August 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Flying Horse Farms. Attendance is free but registration is required and butterflies are limited. The deadline to register is August 8.

It was a great turnout today as Del-Mor Dwellings celebrated their new space at 118 Stover Drive in Delaware. Del-Mor provides permanent supportive housing to people with debilitating mental illness. Secure housing is a starting point for many people's journey to recovery and we are proud to have Del-Mor as a provider.

It was an emotional meeting last night as Marnie Whaley-Buckel attended her final meeting as a member of the Delaware-Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. We proudly presented Marnie with a plaque honoring her time on our Board and all she's done for her community. The plaque will soon be installed on a bench outside the Meadow Center, our Morrow County facility that Marnie was instrumental in helping renovate and expand.

As we wind down Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to take another opportunity to thank all of our providers. They're meeting with residents on a daily basis, and in many cases providing life-saving services to our communities. Our system literally could not operate without them.

If you're struggling, please consider asking for help. Finding the courage to speak up is a sign of strength, not weakness. We are all in this together and there is help available close to home.
