Friday they pulled Garrett off 2 of the 3 antibiotics they had him on & took him off of fluids Saturday morning, Friday night & Saturday he ran a little fever Friday night & Saturday, Saturday evening the took 2 more blood cultures so we are waiting 24hrs on those, after 24hrs with no growth on culture & no fever they will let us go out patient (he will have to stay in Memphis) until Tuesday when he will see his Dr. He is feeling better today!!!

🙌🏼🙌🏼PRAISE REPORT🙌🏼🙌🏼

Garrett is completely out of the care of ICU & is back under regular care, we are still in the hospital receiving antibiotics but his blood pressure is back up & he’s been joking with Ninnie & myself. Thank you to everyone who has been praying, texting & calling to check on him. We love you all!

Garrett has been feeling bad over the past 3 weeks but nothing has shown up, for the past week or so he has been running fever off & on & has a rash all over his body they still could find a cause but he was on antibiotics that had him covered & they schedule him an appointment for Tuesday at st Jude’s, Tuesday his condition hadn’t improved so they did blood cultures & scheduled him for more appointments yesterday while in clinic his Blood Pressure bottomed out & would not come back up (I immediately left headed to Memphis) they started fluids & IV antibiotics & admitted him to the hospital at about 4:30am they moved him to ICU to administer meds to raise his BP but his BP came up enough they didn’t have to, so about 45 minutes ago they moved us to a “step down room” (it’s a step down from ICU but not a regular room). Still at this point we have no idea what’s causing the rash, fever or low BP, we should get more test results today sometime. Thank you all for praying, texting & calling!!

We’ve been in Memphis since Wednesday night Garrett had to have dental surgery (all 4 wisdom teeth cut out) yesterday but he’s doing really good, he’s sore & has some pain but doing good, but when we arrived home today there was the most unexpected but very much loved surprise! I’ve been wondering why nothing I’ve planted in that spot in my flower bed would grow, but God had other plans for that spot! Now every time I pull in my driveway it will serve as a reminder of the beauty in the struggle & that whatever that day held was nothing compared to what God has already brought us through! Thank you so much Mr. Cliff!!!

This week marks 2 years since Garrett’s diagnosis, 2 years of being a patient of St Jude’s, thousands of miles driven, hundreds of appointments, multiple hospital stays, a few setbacks, still on chemo every day, BUT GOD!!! Update: Over the last couple of months they have had to up Garrett’s dose of chemo twice due to it not keeping his blood counts as low as they would like, but we know God is in control & He has a plan & a future for Garrett!! We love and appreciate all your continued prayers as we still have a long way to go on this journey!!!

I know I haven’t posted here in a while but Garrett had been doing really good then about 3 weeks ago he came down with  bronchitis. The bronchitis has been tough, now he is having nausea & vomiting running a fever off & on, so this momma hasn’t had much sleep in the past 24hrs. I’m asking for prayers for Garrett’s healing & that he isn’t try to develop a secondary infection! Thank you all so much for your love & prayers!!!!!!
