I am not posting this video for political reasons but for personal and business reasons. Governor Landry is 100% correct and he and I need you help to get this corrupt PBM system fixed. They have continued to make billions but saying they are saving you money! That is the furthest from the truth. We - pharmacies - need you help in fixing this!

Today, Louisiana is taking a stand against unfair reimbursement practices by pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). These PBMs often pay pharmacies less than what it costs us to buy the medications, even after factoring in your copayment or coinsurance. Sometimes the loss is a few dollars, but other times, it can be hundreds.

For small, locally owned pharmacies, these losses add up quickly, and we don’t have the massive volume of sales that big chains rely on to offset the difference. This is why nearly one independent pharmacy closes every week in the U.S.

Now, more than ever, it’s crucial to support your locally owned pharmacies. Together, we can fight for fair practices and keep these vital businesses open in our communities.
