Mark your calendars for May 22nd !! We will be hosting a fundraiser for a sweet little girl and her family as the navigate the many paths of cancer. In addition to your support with the meal, we are asking if you would like to bring in for her specifically summer hats ; long sleeve swimsuits or summer clothes (5T). She does have two siblings one sister age 2 and a brother age 5. Any new outdoor toys that they could share would be great. Thank you for your support as we all bond together to support this young family.

Delaware County Office for the Aging and Delaware County Senior Council’s Annual Big Wheels Golf Tournament will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, 8:30 AM at The College Golf Course at Delhi! Proceeds from this annual event benefit Delaware County Office for the Aging programs and services.

Entry fee is $80 per golfer and includes 18 holes of golf, cart use, guaranteed prizes, and post tournament lunch. Get your captain and crew together now for this fun event – registrations are limited!

Registration forms can be picked up at our office, 97 Main Street, Suite 2, Delhi, or we can mail a registration form to you by contacting our office at 607-832-5750. Registration must be received by Friday, May 22, 2026.

In the event of cancellation due to extreme weather, rain date will be June 12.

Spotlight: Delaware County Senior Council: Seniors Helping Seniors

Monthly Meeting: Second Monday, 12:30pm at Delaware County Office for the Aging, 97 Main Street, Suite 2, Delhi, NY (immediately following the senior meal)

The Delaware County Senior Council, comprised of representatives from Senior Clubs throughout the county, serves as an important link between the county's elder citizens and the Office for the Aging. All Seniors are always welcome to attend Council meetings.

The Council has been in existence since 1973, and since that time, both organizations have worked together to develop and enhance programs that have an impact on Delaware County seniors.

The Council consistently works towards raising funds to purchase equipment and enrich underfunded programs for seniors. The key fundraiser for 2025 was the Big Wheels Golf Tournament (2026 registration is open now!). The committee is comprised of local citizens, several of whom are seniors, and has worked hard to make this activity a success.

Annual fundraising efforts also include: the Pancake Breakfast in March, Pork Roast and Pie Auction in June, and the annual quilt raffle. The Council also co-sponsored the tenth Annual Delaware County “Senior Fun Day” and the third annual “Senior Ball” with OFA.

Senior Club Update: Hamden Seniors

The senior's group of Hamden were entertained after their holiday luncheon by neighbor Dan Liddle. His world globe began our journey by bike and boat around the world. What views and stories he shared of his many adventures.

Monthly Club Meeting: Last Monday of each month, 12pm at the Hamden Town Hall, 37029 St Rt 10. Anyone is free to join for cards and table games in morning, then a dish to pass meal at 12:30pm.
