Sharon Larson, age 72, of Crooks, SD passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Sanford Hospice Cottages in Sioux Falls, SD. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Benton Lutheran Church, rural Crooks, SD with Vicar Kendra Kappler officiating. Burial will follow in the Benton Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Monday, April 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Benton Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, family wish memorials to be directed to the Benton Lutheran Church Cemetery fund.

Thomas Sorum, born November 23, 1946, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 31, 2026, at the age of 79. The family will be hosting a funeral service, which will be held on Saturday, April 11, at Renner Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Renner Lutheran Church. Flowers may be sent to the church the day of the service. A luncheon will be held in the church basement following the service for a time of gathering and sharing stories.

James “Jim” Wolles, age 82, of Dell Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Dell Rapids. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Monday, at the church, with a Christian Wake Service beginning at 7:00 PM with a Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary to follow.

Kyle Arie Madetzke, 39, of Baltic, SD passed away unexpectedly on March 17th in an auto accident and was welcomed home in the arms of his heavenly father. A Celebration of Life prayer service will be 7:oo PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids, SD. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation with family present will be from 5 -7 pm prior to the prayer service at 7.

Jeffrey “Unc” G. James was born on October 11, 1956, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Forrest and Genevieve (Wilkie) James. Jeff passed away surrounded by his nieces and nephew at the Dougherty Hospice home in Sioux Falls, SD, on February 19, 2026, at the age of 69. Celebration of Life will be held at the Renner American Legion on March 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm, with military honors beginning at 2:00 PM.
