Dorothy Regine Risty-Schon, age 80, of South Jordan, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 15, 2025, in the loving presence of family. A memorial took place at 2:00 pm on September 27th at Church of Christ the King (Episcopal) in Arvada, Colorado, where Dorothy was a member of son, Austin’s, church. Interment will be at the Brandon Lutheran Cemetery in Brandon, South Dakota on Saturday, May 23rd at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Gerald Van Der Vliet, age 94, of Colton, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Faith Community Church in Colton. Interment will be in the Colton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:30 PM Tuesday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to Faith Community Church, Colton Cemetery, or Taopi Hall.

Gregory Johnson passed away in Sioux Falls on December 30 with loving family by his side, following an aortic aneurism. Graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 16, 2026, at St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery, Baltic. Military honors will be performed by the South Dakota Army National Guard and Sioux Falls Post 15 of the American Legion. Following the committal, there will be a time for fellowship and refreshments at the Baltic Lutheran Church. Memorials may be directed to Baltic Lutheran Church.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids, SD. Burial will follow at Oslo Cemetery rural Trent, SD. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral chapel in Dell Rapids.
