Tony came to physical therapy at AMC following a stroke in May of 2023. His primary PT, Carmen Nightingale, PT, DPT, NCS describes some of his rehabilitation below. In the words of Tony, at the end of his course of therapy, his confidence “has grown by leaps and bounds”.

AMC Outpatient Therapy extends our congratulations to Alfonso Starja on completion of his recent clinical affiliation at our clinic and upcoming graduation from PT School at Russel Sage. If you have been in the clinic in the past few months, you have likely been witness to his charismatic and engaging personality over the past 12 weeks.

Of his time at AMC, Alfonso said: My clinical at AMC outpatient PT has been a great learning experience and I have enjoyed working alongside their exceptional staff of providers. I want to thank Carmen for being an outstanding mentor and helping me grow as a clinician. My favorite part of PT is helping people regain their independence and get back to the activities they love. It is rewarding to be a part of a patient’s journey to recovery and help them achieve life-changing improvements through PT.
