At Albany Medical Center, our team of speech-language pathologists diagnose and treat a variety of swallowing disorders in children and adults. As part of an individualized plan of care for patients with dysphagia, or swallowing difficulty, a modified diet is sometimes recommended in order to meet nutrition and hydration needs safely.
If you or a loved one follows a modified diet this holiday season, check out these Thanksgiving recipes! All recipes are formulated in accordance with the International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI), a global framework that creates standardized description and testing methods for foods and liquids.

We’re excited to introduce our dedicated team of speech-language pathologists, committed to helping individuals of all ages with communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges through personalized, evidence-based care.
