Manual Muscle Movement Therapy is so much more than regular massage! This allows the body to function more efficiently after because movement helps heal the body. Sessions range from 30-75 minutes. Personal Training is completely customized to fit the needs of the client. No two programs are alike! The hip flexor muscles are a group of muscles situated near the top of your thighs that allow you to lift your knee toward your chest and bend forward at the hip. This includes the iliacus, pectineus, psoas major, re**us femoris, and sartorius muscles that work together to enable hip flexion.
In my video I show a very simple exercise to help strengthen your hip flexors. Be sure when trying you sit up straight and do not drop in the chest and belly. This is a great exercise for people who sit all day. Stretching is one thing but from my experience most need strength. Try it and let me know what you think! 🤗

Every week I prep my meats for the week so dinner time is easier. If you’ve ever talked with me about food you know I don’t really like to cook so I want something easy! I get 3lbs of turkey and season and weigh each of them so they are 1oz balls cook some and freeze the rest. These can last 2-3 weeks. I wanted to show that it took me about 12 1/2 minutes to make them all! Cooking was about 10-15 minutes but when they are cooking, I can go do something else. Prepping food doesn’t have to take long or be hard and in the end on a busy week night it makes your life so much easier!

Core exercises do they really work?

The answer yes and no! I bet you’re thinking thanks for that! But it’s a fact, it just depends what results you want from them.

We have all seen the ads for doing some exercise for 30 days and your belly fat will be gone! But does it really work like that? No

Will it strengthen your core and help your back? Possibly, but to just get rid of belly fat so you have 6 pack abs no!

I hate to tell you this but abs are made in the kitchen and killing yourself doing crunches will not help the way you want. Eating better and understanding how much and what to eat will allow you to lose the belly fat.

You’ve probably heard the saying you can’t outrun a bad diet and it comes down to just that! It doesn’t mean you can’t have dessert or have a drink or two when out with friends. Small changes make for big improvements in the way you look and feel.

Exercise for getting stronger, eat for getting your body to look the way you want!

Food does NOT have to be hard. I hate cooking! If a recipe is too long I skip it! lol But! I don’t want to eat out all the time and eating dinner at 9-930 at night is too late to go out. So to make my life easy I make things that have leftovers. Each week I prepare my meat for the week by making 3lbs of turkey (can be any meat) meatballs in 1 oz. balls freeze some and cook some for week. I also cook a bunch of chicken and we always have leftover steak.
I don’t use a bunch of separate containers you see for food prepping just take out what I need and add what I want like veggies, salad, potatoes etc. When you get use to having food ready you will be surprised how easy it makes your life on a busy day. Try it Monday through Friday and relax on the weekends. 🤗

Static stretching vs. dynamic stretching
What’s the difference? To put it simply static is holding and dynamic is moving.
Many of you know that I’ve taught yoga for years and in yoga there is a lot of static stretching which I believe is important. Through the years my yoga has changed and we move gently through a lot of movements without holding too long. Recently Shane and I have been working on an entire movement routine and I have incorporated these legs swing’s everyday. I do them before my lifting and even on my off days. Why? Because the difference in my movement is amazing. 10 swings each way everyday has released my low back, loosened my hips and increased my range of motion. Movement is vital for our health so I challenge you to give this a try for 30 days. Swinging legs front to back, inside circle outside circle and side swing. Go at your level and start with 6-8 and work up to 10 each way!

With any exercise you want to know which muscle or groups of muscles you need to focus on. But did you know that in most exercises grounding your feet can help. It allows stabilization all the way through your body and encourages core engagement. Even in standing exercises my clients do not wear shoes so they can feel their feet connect! Try it!😉
