Dry needling isn’t random.
It’s not “let’s poke around and hope it helps.”
And it’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Every needle placement has a purpose — and in this video, you’ll see exactly what that looks like.

For this athlete, we used a strategic needle setup around the shoulder to create a controlled “pump” through the scapular muscles. That upward rotation you’re seeing?
👉 Completely intentional.
👉 Completely targeted.
👉 Completely based on their pain pattern.

But here’s the important part:

Dry needling is only as effective as what you do AFTER.
If you don’t retrain the muscle, reinforce the pattern, and build strength behind it, the needle work won’t stick.

That’s why at RuralRx, we pair every needling session with the right rehab exercises — so the changes we create actually hold up when you move, lift, and live.
