Why Slack?

Why not? Slack By The Sea is a charity event that benefits The HOW Foundation of South Florida. If you’re not familiar with The HOW Foundation, it is a non profit organization that helps veterans and people who suffer from post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries. It helps provide those people hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Yeah, it’s a life changing treatment that helps our troops significantly. When it comes to helping veterans, we never slack.

Slack By The Sea is an event for the rest of us. The donut deviants, the craft beer connoisseurs, the armchair quarterbacks, the prima donnas of procrastination and everyone in between. It’s an event geared towards those of us who are sick of not getting to participate in the fun weekend races that most of our coworkers attend. We want something to be proud of too ya know! Not only is this your chance to get a shiny medal and a numbered race placard, but you also get to help veterans at the same time!

We are calling on EVERYONE, slackers and race enthusiasts alike to join us at Tim Finnegans on October 19th at 10AM for an event that is truly one of a kind and one you will be talking about forever! (Or until the nap that will follow this event.) We hope to see all of you there!
