Musculoskeletal Ultrasound to diagnose a variety of conditions. Musculoskeletal ultrasonographer, Dr. Keith Hansen, can perform diagnostic ultrasounds on many body regions to diagnose such things as rotator cuff tears, hamstring tears or tendinitis, labral tears of the hip, labral tears of the shoulder, trochanteric bursitis of the hip, carpal tunnel syndrome, meniscus tears in the knee, joint effusion, and many more! We have an ultrasound and procedure room dedicated to such diagnostics.

This is an example of a nerve we perform a nerve block on under ultrasound imaging. Ultrasound allows us to perform procedures safely and very accurately to ensure our procedures have a high success rate in relieving symptoms. We are able to visualize blood vessels on ultrasound so that we can avoid them and only treat the structures we want to reach.

At the Institute for Nonsurgical Orthopedics (INSO), we are a comprehensive pain management clinic, from hands-on manipulation by highly trained Osteopathic physicians to ultrasound-guided injections from head to toe. We have treatment options for those patients with diabetes, those on blood thinners, and those who are not candidates for steroids. We have a licensed massage therapist and excellent musculoskeletal ultrasonographer on staff as well. We are able to perform diagnostic x-rays in-office and perform treatment on the same day.
