✨ Breaking Silence. Keeping Our Healing in Motion. ✨
July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, and we carry the legacy of Bebe Moore Campbell by refusing to let silence win.
Through my Health in Motion project, I show up in the places that hold us — Black-owned barbershops, parks, churches — with blood pressure checks, stress relief workshops, and opioid overdose prevention education. Because our health should live where we live.
Through Black Candlelyte Therapy, we take that care deeper — blending soul rituals, tarot, yoga, and conversation to help us Reclaim, Release, Restore, and Rise. We remind each other that healing is not something we visit once — it’s something we practice daily.
This month, I’m leaning into consistency, guided by the energy of the Knight of Cups — the quiet messenger of devotion and flow. The Knight teaches me that consistency isn’t about perfection — it’s about moving forward, heart first, even when it’s hard.
So here’s what I’m carrying into July:
✨ Consistency in asking, “How’s your heart today?”
✨ Consistency in showing up where healing is needed.
✨ Consistency in breaking stigma and silence, one conversation at a time.
Our goals remain the same:
🫶🏾 Reduce opioid harm.
🫀 Lower stroke risk.
🧘🏾♀️ Care for our mental health with intention and love.
Bebe planted seeds for us — and every small act of care waters them. Every heart check, every real conversation, every candle we light together keeps her vision alive.
💙 May our hearts stay open. May our healing stay in motion. May our cups stay full.
