In this season of thankfulness, we bow to the Indigenous peoples whose land we live upon, recognizing the wounds of history, offering our sorrow and respect, and opening our hearts to the possibility of forgiveness and collective healing.

We know this is possible because we experienced it.

On our recent retreat in Brazil we experienced an outpour of love, gratitude, protection, hospitality, healing energy and wisdom from Indigenous peoples. We all felt blessed to be in their presence and learn from them. But what brought me to tears is when they all also shared stories of their land and people being destroyed by people like us, “white people”. And rather than resent us, treat us poorly in return, deny us from seeing their homes or entering their world… they offered the opposite.

Their ability to forgive, yet continue the fight
to open their homes to people that look like those that have taken it
to choose love, fierce love over fear

Even when this battle has been fought for centuries, the love for land, water, sky, people remains burning strong. Thank you to indigenous communities past and present for preserving cultural wisdom and continuing to stand up for the wellbeing of all beings, especially those that don’t have a voice 🌻

The food, the family, the fall vibes 😍 like wow what a great little trip!!

It always amazes me how many vegan options exist in other places I really feel like FL is behind (even tho I’m not fully vegan I really enjoy choosing those options)

All spring and summer, chlorophyll (the green pigment) is so dominant that it hides the reds, oranges, and golds that already live inside the leaf. 
When fall arrives and the days shorten, the tree stops producing chlorophyll so the fall colors finally shine through!

Nature is pointing us towards a lesson that rings true for me in this season of life: 
Transformation isn’t always about becoming something new, it can also be about revealing what’s been inside you all along✨😉

There are qualities currently within me that I intend to bring forward in full vibrancy ~ it’s just a season of reflecting on what needs to be let go of in order for this transformation to arise 🍁 anyone with me??

In times when there is fear, suffering, and sadness, there is also love, peace, and joy. My path is to share the light with you all, while acknowledging the darkness. If it’s hard to see the magic in your life begin with…

- gratitude: breathe into this feeling of one thing you’re grateful for
- beauty: pause & observe something beautiful
- watching life grow: gardening or children
- reflect on resilience: recall a past version of you that worked to achieve a goal that you now are proud to say you did it!

The more you train your mind and heart to recognize magic, the more that appears in your life ~ and it’s really cool I gotta say 😜

Had some type 2 fun this Saturday with some fellow beach bums 🏖️

-500 m log paddle
-4 mile beach cruiser bike
-2 mile run

Congrats to our class act bum for not letting second hand cereal stop you from finishing 🎉

“When you go out into the woods, and you look at trees, you see all these different trees.

And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever.

And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way.

And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree.

The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying ‘You are too this, or I’m too this! That judgment mind comes in.

And so l practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.”

Sunday Plans? I gotchu make these and thank later ;) these are actually the best brownies I’ve ever eaten and made from wholesome foods ❤️‍🔥

Recipe is doubled to make THICK brownies

3 small baked & peeled sweet potato’s about 2 cups
1 cup of tahini
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup date syrup
4 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup cacao powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Handful of chocolate chips
Flaky salt added to the top

Mix wet ingredients in bowl
Then add dry ingredients

Bake 40 mins @350 F
DO NOT TOUCH TILL COOLED they will be gooey fresh out of oven then harden as cool

Cut and enjoy once cooled 🤤🤤 also so good to eat cold from the fridge

These figs were foraged from our neighboring trailer park and wow I’m always in awe of seeing fruit trees thrive without human help (duh of course they can but thinking about conventional produce there’s so much energy and care that goes into getting good fruit it’s cool to see fruit trees thriving on their own)

Had fun showing the fig stash and creating figgy treats with her last week👩🏼‍🍳🤍

Save this in-season recipe and I repeat EAT THEM COLD 😍🤤so much better
