Dr. Tony Willcox is the first Acupuncture PhD. to graduate from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale. His practice Acupuncture Zen is in Delray Beach, Florida. Dr. Tony pictured above left with Professor Yang Jun at the Anhui University of Chinese Medicine in Hefei, Anhui, China. Professor Yang is one of the most famous Acupuncture Doctors in China and is regarded for his work in clinical acupuncture seeing over 300 patients per day. With following such a Doctor skills and knowledge are amplified in a dramatic fashion. Dr. Tony having already a Clinical Doctorate is one of the few in the United States who has received a PhD. in Acupuncture from the Chinese Government. He graduated with 'Academic Excellence' from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine and has trained in both Shanghai and HeFei, China. Studying and applying Acupuncture in these hospitals in China has given invaluable experience and extensive training to increase his skill and knowledge in the field of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in order to help his local patients in Delray Beach and Boca Raton. With over 14 years experience in Acupuncture and 10 of those as the 'Official Acupuncturist' with the NHL Florida Panthers Medical Team and 5 years with a UFC flight team where sports related injuries was the norm. Dr. Tony has had private instruction with a Legend in Acupuncture Dr. Shi Xue Min who was given the title of Chinese Treasure by the Chinese Government and was the Doctor in the DVD "9000 Needles". Dr. Tony Willcox studied Mandarin Chinese language to enhance his understanding of the herbal medicine formulas and has been Nationally Double Board Certified in Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine. Being on various medical teams of Elite Athletes with the NHL and UFC, Dr. Tony has a plethora of knowledge and treatment equipment to give you the best available in modern acupuncture today.
