For nearly four decades, Lisa Kelly has walked side-by-side with women through every stage of life, from fertility and pregnancy, to birth, postpartum, and beyond. Her practice has always been dedicated solely to women’s health, making her one of the most experienced voices in holistic abdominal and pelvic therapy.

This November, she’s opening the circle in Talking Rock, Georgia for a small, intimate Maya Abdominal Massage Practitioner Training. With only 8 spaces, you’ll receive hands-on guidance in the complete abdominal and pelvic protocols.
Taught in the lineage of many wise teachers and informed by diverse traditional healing practices Lisa has studied and practiced throughout her career.

🌿 If you’ve been seeking a training that blends advanced skill, ancient tradition, and the deep remembering that lives in women’s bodies, this is it.

Hands-on. Heart-led.

This October, I’m holding space for a small circle of Maya Abdominal / Arvigo / Abdominal Therapy practitioners to come together for a weekend of remembering, refining, and reconnecting with the roots of this work.

We’ll revisit foundational techniques, explore advanced practices (sidelying, retroversion, sacral additions, moxa, navel cupping), and share. It’s not a training, it’s a return to the magic that first called you to the table. 🌿

In this clip, I’m demonstrating external pelvic therapy at Hortense’s Point—named after a wise Maya midwife and located near the lesser sciatic notch and sacrotuberous ligament.

Why is this area so important?

Because it’s a neurovascular superhighway—a gateway for structures like: Pudendal nerve – major sensory + motor nerve for pelvic floor, perineum, and ge****ls
Internal pudendal artery + vein – vital blood flow to reproductive and pelvic tissues
Nerve to obturator internus stabilizes the hip and supports pelvic alignment
Obturator internus tendon, exits here to assist with hip rotation and balance.

This area is often overlooked in pelvic therapy, yet it holds deep potential for relief and restoration. Gentle external work here, like what I teach in the posterior pelvic segment of Maya Abdominal Therapy training can support: Nerve decompression
Fascial and ligamentous release (hello sacrotuberous!)
Improved blood flow
Pelvic floor function, without internal access

Ready to learn how to access this wisdom through your hands?

Join us in an upcoming training and bring this vital knowledge into your healing work. Or book an appointment with me for a treatment.

What’s one way you honor your body daily?

When you honor your body, it honors you back with vitality, wisdom, and strength. 🌿 Every small ritual is an act of devotion to yourself.

I honor my body by

Practicing self-abdominal massage to nurture my center and listen to my womb's wisdom.

Preparing herbal steams or sipping nourishing teas that feel like a warm hug from the inside out.

Moving my body intuitively—whether that's stretching, dancing barefoot, or simply breathing deeply into my belly.

Connecting to my matrilineal line through prayer, gratitude, and remembering the women who came before me.

Offering myself the same tenderness I teach others—warmth, rest, and gentle touch.

Golden Hour for a Golden Organ

This stunning sunlit placenta was part of our Maya Abdominal Therapy practitioner training today--yes, it was a show-and-tell moment!
Though I'm attending fewer births these days as a doula, I still feel deeply honored to be part of these sacred transitions through my placenta encapsulation services. Each placenta carries the story of a birth, and
supporting new parents in their postpartum journey continues to light me up from the inside out.
