Alcohol Awareness Month is a reminder to take a closer look over time, not just at one moment.

Changes in drinking can be gradual. What starts as social or occasional can slowly become something you rely on, something that affects your mood, your relationships, or how you cope day to day.

Pay attention to the small signs. Needing it more often. Using it to manage stress or emotions. Feeling off the next day. Not feeling like yourself. These moments matter, whether you’re noticing them in yourself or someone you care about.

Awareness is not about judgment. It’s about recognizing when something may not be serving you anymore and knowing that support is available.

If you or a loved one are struggling with alcohol use, DM us or call 866.396.2008.

Stories like this are a reminder that change is possible, and you don’t have to find your way there alone.

RECO is more than a building.

It’s where alumni come back each week to stay connected. Where clients walk in for group, sit with therapists, and do the work that leads to real change. It’s a space people turn to for support, understanding, and community when they need it most.

What happens inside these walls is more than treatment. It’s connection, growth, and the beginning of something better.

Sometimes the signs of substance abuse aren’t obvious. They show up in small shifts. Changes in behavior, mood, priorities, or the way someone copes.

Whether you’re noticing it in yourself or in someone you care about, paying attention matters. It’s not about blame. It’s about awareness, care, and recognizing when something might not be serving you anymore.

Starting the conversation can feel hard, but it can also be the first step toward real support and change.

Not all signs are loud. Some are quiet thoughts, small patterns, or moments that make you pause and wonder.

This isn’t about labeling or judging. It’s about awareness. Because recognizing something isn’t serving you anymore can be the first step toward something better.

If any of this resonates, you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

If you or a loved one are struggling with substance abuse, DM us or call 866.396.2008 Support is here when you’re ready.

Recovery is its own kind of renewal. A chance to grow, to heal, and to step into a life that feels more honest, grounded, and full of hope.

Wherever you are in your journey, today is a reminder that change is possible and you’re allowed to start again. 💙

Trauma isn’t something you chose, and it’s not something you can just erase.

In trauma-informed therapy, it’s often less about getting rid of what happened and more about learning how to hold it differently. Like a filing system, you don’t get to choose what came in, but you can choose where it lives, how it’s organized, and how much it controls your day-to-day life.

Healing is not about forgetting. It’s about creating space so your past no longer defines your present.

If you or a loved one are struggling with substance abuse and trauma, DM us or call 844.955.3042. Support is here.

Addiction is often seen through a lens of judgment. Weakness. Shame. Failure. The things people say, and the things we start to believe about ourselves.

But recovery tells a different story. One of strength, honesty, connection, and real change. It’s not perfect and it’s not linear, but it’s proof that people are more than their lowest moments.

If you or a loved one are struggling with substance abuse, DM us or call 844.955.3042. You don’t have to stay stuck in the story others have written for you.

Traveling from out of state to start your recovery journey isn’t easy, but for many, it’s the decision that changes everything.

We often hear how powerful the South Florida recovery community is… a place where you’re not just supported during treatment, but welcomed into something bigger. A network of people who understand, show up, and continue walking alongside you.

From day one, it’s more than a program. It’s connection, accountability, and a community that helps you build a life you don’t want to leave.

If you or a loved one are struggling with substance abuse, RECO is here to help.

We asked our alumni a simple question: what made RECO different from the other places you’ve been?

For many, the answer comes back to the same things. Real connection. Staff who truly care. A community that continues long after treatment ends.

Recovery looks different for everyone, but the support you receive along the way can make all the difference. Hearing these stories from our alumni reminds us why this work matters every day.

Sometimes the biggest changes happen quietly at first.

Ashley, one of our therapists at RECO, shares how meaningful it is to watch clients begin to shift as they settle into treatment. The moment when someone starts to feel safe enough to open up, trust the process, and believe that change is possible again is where real healing begins.

Those small moments of growth are the foundation of recovery, and they remind us that transformation often starts with simply showing up.
