Counseling in Delray Beach, Florida
Irving Schattner, LCSW, Psychotherapist I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples and families overcome real-life challenges. My areas of specialization include Anxiety and Depression, Addictions, and Relationship Counseling. I’ve worked in diverse clinical settings including assisted living and skilled nursing / rehabilitation, community mental health, addictions, psychiatric care, and now private practice. It is through these experiences that I’ve developed a strong appreciation of the uniqueness of each person’s life story, as well as the belief that given the right support and conditions, people can overcome most challenges and even thrive. Recognizing that no two clients are alike, I take from a richness of therapeutic traditions including psycho-dynamic, cognitive- behavioral, exposure and response prevention, psychodrama, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and other evidence-based treatments, with the purpose of individualizing treatment that best meets my clients’ needs. In addition to meeting clients in the comfort of my office, I also provide in-home counseling / therapy to clients in senior care communities and persons suffering from agoraphobia who are afraid to leave the comfort of home. I also work with attorneys and prison consultants in conducting substance abuse assessments, counseling, and diagnosis letters for clients before and after sentencing in federal court, in application for Residential Drug Abuse Program {RDAP}. Memberships: NASW (National Association of Social Workers) ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America) To learn more about how therapy can help you with life challenges by finding real-life solutions… Call NOW for a FREE Consultation
