📣 Equine Bodywork Clients — My Biosecurity Protocols During the EHV-1/EHM Outbreak

Your horses’ safety is always my top priority. With the recent EHV-1/EHM cases linked to events in TX & OK, I am taking strict biosecurity precautions for every session and every barn.

Here is what you can expect from me if I come to your property:

🔹 My Personal Biosecurity Protocols
• I will not enter any barn under quarantine or with suspected symptoms.
• I will screen each barn before arrival and ask owners to report any fevers, respiratory signs, or neurological concerns.
• I disinfect all tools between every horse and every property (following proper contact time).
• I change clothing or outer layers and disinfect my shoes before entering your barn.
• I wash and sanitize my hands thoroughly between horses.
• I do not share halters, lead ropes, or brushes between clients—ever.

🔹 What I Ask From You
• Let me know immediately if your horse or barn has any symptoms of concern.
• Avoid moving horses on or off the property during this outbreak.
• Please follow your barn’s posted biosecurity guidelines and help limit shared equipment.

These steps help protect your horses, your barn, and the whole equine community. Thank you for working with me to keep our horses safe, healthy, and able to continue their care.
