The two "fitness" loves of my life: Zumba 💃 and Yoga🧘♀️ !!! They coudn't be more different and yet isn't that profound? Why? In one word, Balance! Yin vs Yang ☯️ And, in case you weren't aware, I'm also a Cancer sign 🦀 : land & water, hard & soft, in & out, moody & chill. 😁 Yep! I believe it's a natural fit for me as I continue to progress in my current life journey. I absolutely LOVE teaching Zumba in any form, but especially Aqua Zumba🧜♀️🧜♂️! Every class is an energy-charged pool party! 🥳😅 There's something about the water, the "flow" of the movements and the resistance experienced in every direction that builds strength and balance in our body. And, water contains charged ions that make it a good conductor of energy! So, with all the activity and enjoyment in the pool, students leave class feeling happy and invigorated! Of course I love teaching Aqua Zumba!!! 🤗 Yoga, on the other hand, is an ancient practice that involves physical poses, concentration, and deep breathing. The medical community endorses "a regular yoga practice can promote endurance, strength, calmness, flexibility, and well-being." The Bhagavad Gita is quoted as saying, "Yoga is an individual journey that requires lifelong dedication, consistent practice, and devotion to God." That being said, it is NOT a religion, or a cult, but rather an individual practice of joining/uniting/connecting our body with our mind, our breath with our movement and even our spirit with our creator. I will be teaching a style of yoga called Vinyasa Flow where various poses are linked together with breath. Poses are held for several breaths before changing to a new pose. I truly enjoy this style of yoga because it helps me focus on the moment by controlling my breath and thoughts. It has also helped me improve my stamina and flexibility! Thank you for reading ALL of this🤪 I look forward to seeing you in my classes! 🤗
