Honest question for everyone following along today.

Why is transparency in funeral service so threatening to some people?

I made an educational video explaining the uses of common instruments in the prep room — nothing graphic, nothing disrespectful, just honest education. This was one of the responses.

For years people said funeral directors were too secretive, too guarded, and never explained anything. Now when professionals openly educate the public, some say it should “never be discussed.”

So which is it? Stay silent and let myths spread… or educate families so they understand the profession and the care their loved ones receive?

I know where I stand: professionalism, honesty, and transparency build trust.
