If you're already registered for one of our existing platforms, such as Athena or Meditech, you should receive an email or text message with instructions on how to set up your new MyChart account. Not registered for one of our existing platforms? Not a problem - just ask your provider to send you a link to register for MyChart at your next appointment. We will discontinue use of Meditech, Athena, and other platforms when we launch MyChart on January 30.

Halifax Health | UF Health - Medical Center of Deltona has donated nine pediatric emergency kits to Deltona Fire & Rescue, ensuring life-saving care for children during critical emergencies.

Unlike adults, children require specialized equipment because their bodies differ significantly in size and physiology. Each backpack-style kit is organized by age group and includes trauma supplies tailored for pediatric patients. Color-coded pouches allow EMS teams to respond quickly when every second counts.

This prestigious recognition highlights the hospital’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing bariatric surgery.

Meet Dr. Yacoub, Vascular Surgeon at UF Health Heart and Vascular Surgery at Halifax Health!

Dr. Yacoub is a board-certified vascular surgeon who earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He underwent general surgery residency training at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued a vascular surgery fellowship at West Virginia University School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Yacoub trained in an advanced aortic fellowship at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education, focusing on the treatment of complex thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms using fenestrated‑branched endografts.

For the fifth consecutive year, Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach has earned the Get With The Guidelines GoldPlus Quality Achievement Award, along with the Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll recognitions. This milestone reflects the hospital’s continued dedication to improving outcomes for patients experiencing strokes in our community.
