💖 Honoring Family Caregivers: The Heart of Home Health

Caring for family goes beyond routine—it’s an act of love that connects generations. Whether a parent nurtures a child, an adult supports an aging loved one, or siblings care for each other, every caregiver plays a vital role in building a healthier, stronger home.

This National Family Caregivers Month celebrates those who give their time, energy, and hearts to others. Your care shapes families and strengthens our community.

At Southwest Pediatric and Family Care, we’re here to support caregivers of all ages with compassionate, family-centered healthcare and education designed to make caring a little easier.

Hallelujah! Giving thanks to God who alone has orchestreated everything to make SWPFC expansion a reality! Major props to our patients and families who stuck with us through all the construction chaos 🤗 Tim Seybert at La Harca and DEI, planning, implementation, precision, timing were great- you rock 👏 We're totally stoked with the final result! To our staff who had to park in the “next zip code” all summer and during school opening days, we owe you one ☺️ 😍 !!! Seriously though, thank you Dr. Aswad for allowing our staff to park in your lot. SWPFC parking is finally done, come on down! 🤗☺️🙏🏼🎈🎈

✔️ Schedule your annual mammogram (age 40+ or as recommended by your provider)
✔️ Perform monthly self-breast exams
✔️ Know your family history and share it with your doctor
✔️ Support survivors and spread awareness

Together, we can promote hope, strength, and early action.
Let’s continue the conversation—because awareness saves lives. 💪

🌥️ SAD Isn’t Just a Mood—Let’s Talk Seasonal Affective Disorder

You’re not lazy. Your brain might just be reacting to shorter days.

As the days get darker and colder, many people notice their energy dipping, sleep patterns shifting, and mood changing. That might be Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)—a type of depression linked to seasonal changes.

💡 Here’s what to watch for:

Feeling low or unusually tired during fall or winter

Trouble concentrating or sleeping too much

Craving more carbs than usual

Withdrawing from friends or activities

The good news? You’re not alone—and SAD is treatable.
✨ Try these small steps:

Get daily sunlight or try light therapy

Stay active and move your body

Keep a consistent sleep schedule

Talk to your healthcare provider if symptoms persist

Your mental health matters as much as your physical health—especially this season. ❤️
