❤️ Heart Health Starts Early

Heart health isn’t just an adult concern—it begins in childhood and grows with us through every stage of life.

Simple habits can make a big difference for the whole family:
• Staying active together
• Choosing heart-healthy foods
• Getting enough sleep
• Managing stress
• Keeping up with routine checkups

Regular wellness visits help catch potential concerns early and support lifelong heart health for kids, adults, and seniors.

❤️ Make heart health a family priority—today and every day.

Preventive care is a key objective in primary healthcare. The recent measles outbreak in cities near New Mexico, among other states, highlights the importance of ensuring that necessary vaccinations are provided, which are available at no cost through the state VFC program.
Schedulers are accessible on Monday and Thursday from 8 AM to 7 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 AM to 7 PM, and Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM. Preventing an outbreak, much like any crucial matter, requires a community effort! 👏😊

Post-Holiday Blues Are Real—and You’re Not Alone 💙

The holidays may be over, but the stress, sleep changes, and low moods can linger for many families. Kids, parents, caregivers, and seniors can all feel the effects after a busy season.

Pay attention to signs like trouble sleeping, feeling overwhelmed, low energy, or mood changes. Small steps such as sticking to routines, getting enough rest, staying active, and talking openly as a family can make a big difference.

If these feelings don’t improve or start to affect daily life, it’s okay to ask for help. Mental health is just as important as physical health.

👉 Talk to your provider if you or a family member needs support. We’re here for you.

❄️ Winter Wellness: Staying Well During Cold and Flu Season

Cold and flu season is here—but getting sick doesn’t have to be part of winter.

A few simple habits can help protect your family:
• Wash hands often and disinfect high-touch surfaces
• Get enough sleep and stay hydrated
• Eat balanced meals to support immunity
• Stay up to date on recommended vaccines

It’s also important to know when to see a doctor. Call or book a visit if symptoms include:
• Fever that lasts more than a few days
• Trouble breathing or persistent cough
• Severe fatigue or dehydration
• Symptoms that worsen instead of improve

Getting care early can help prevent complications and get you feeling better sooner.
If something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait—reach out to SWPFC.

What does a healthy start to the year look like for you?
For your child?
For your family?

It doesn’t have to be perfect or loud. A healthy year often begins in small, intentional moments—showing up, asking for support, and choosing care over pressure.

At Southwest Pediatric and Family Care, we believe wellness is built with patience, compassion, and partnership. Wherever you’re starting from, your pace matters and every step counts.

Here’s to a steady, supported, and healthy year ahead 🤍
May this year bring peace, strength, and continued growth for you and your family. God Bless!

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

✨ New Year, Healthy Start ✨

A new year doesn’t need extreme resolutions — just a fresh start for your family’s health.

January is the perfect time to catch up on the basics we often put off:

Think of it as resetting your health before life gets busy again.
One appointment today can save you stress later in the year.

💙 Start the year feeling confident, prepared, and protected.

✨ New Year. New Beginnings. Same Faithful God. ✨

As we step into a new year, we’re reminded that every breath, every moment, and every step forward is a gift from Him. 🙏
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3)

This year, let’s choose faith over fear, gratitude over worry, and health as a blessing to steward—body, mind, and spirit.

From our SWPFC family to yours, may this year be filled with peace, strength, and good health. 💙
Here’s to walking into the new year covered by grace and guided by faith.

🎄 Faith, Family, and Health as Gifts

As we celebrate Christmas, we pause with grateful hearts for the blessings that matter most—faith that guides us, families that support us, and health that allows us to care for one another.

This season, we want to thank our patients, families, and dedicated staff for trusting Southwest Pediatric and Family Care to walk alongside you through every stage of life. Your partnership and support make our work meaningful.

We believe true wellness cares for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. As the year comes to a close, we invite families to reflect on their health, give thanks for the blessings received, and prepare for a new year focused on prevention, balance, and well-being.

From our SWPFC family to yours, may your Christmas be filled with peace, hope, and good health.
