Went into one of my hives today and did a top to bottom inspection. Found the queen, lots of capped brood and eggs. Look at the population this queen is responsible for. That's a lot of bees. They should do well over the winter.

First swarm call of the year outside of the Labor and Delivery exit at the Mimbres Memorial Hospital. They had already started building comb in the branches of the Butterfly Bush. One good shake and the majority were in the box. I had a couple of drawn comb frames and a half filled honey frame waiting inside for them. Easy as it gets.

My first successful swarm trap that i had out on an irrigation pond. There are a couple of feral colonies in the willow trees around the pond, so I figured it would do well.

Found several early stage queen cells in the Prime Hive. Pretty high population inside and lots of brood. I will definitely be splitting this hive at least twice in the next week or so.
