Judith Ann Price (Judy) Brecheen
January 7, 1947 — February 24, 2024

Judith Ann Price {Judy} Brecheen passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, February 25, 2024 at her home in Greensburg at the age of 77. She was born January 7, 1947 in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Bolton High School in Alexandria, and the Alexandria Academy of Beauty Culture. She worked for 16 years as a para-educator with St.Helena Parish School System. Judy was a faithful member of the First Southern Methodist Church of Amite where she served a communion steward. She also served for several years as a delagate or alternate to the South-Western Annual Conference of the Southern Methodist Church. Judy enjoyed traveling and attending car shows with her husband, Darwin, as they showed their 1966 Ford Mustang.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rev. Dr. L. Darwin Brecheen of Greensburg, one daughter, Darlene and husband Vernon Gail of Lakeview, Alabama, one son, David Brecheen of Greensburg, a granddaughter, Cassidy Brecheen of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, two grandson, Dylan Gill and fiance Kierah Gaudin of Lakeview, Alabama and Will Brecheen of Greensburg, two step-grandchildren, Vernon Gill and Dakota Gill of Amite, one brother, Donnie Price and sister, Janet Price both of Pineville, Louisiana as well as a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents David and Normea Price and a brother, David Price, Jr.
Visitation will be at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Greensburg 87 Paddio Johnson Lane Hwy 1042, Greensburg, LA 70441, on Tuesday, February 27, from 6 till 9 p.m. and will continue on Wednesday morning at the First Southern Methodist Church of Amite, located at 410 East Mulberry Street, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. officiated by Rev. Rick Pigott and Rev Dr. Willie G. Johnson. Interment in Greensburg Cemetery.
Pallbeears will be Charles Gill, Lee Brecheen, Dylan Gill, Cassidy Brecheen, Vernon Gill, and Will Brecheen.
