Adults, adolescents, children over the age of 4, and families from all backgrounds can be seen here. The therapy provided will be unique to each client and thei

r strengths and growth areas. However, some of our main therapy models utilized include Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Trust Based Relational Intervention, Systemic Therapy and Solutions Focused. Both private pay and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance are accepted forms of payment. If you do not have BCBS insurance, you may request an invoice of services to hand in to your insurance company to potentially reimburse you (this is not a guarantee of reimbursement and it’s best to work this out with your insurance provider beforehand). Healing Hearts seeks excellency in the work that is provided for our clients, recognizing that we are accountable both to our own professional board of counselors, and our God.

Alex, our kids’ counselor posted this in her personal page recently, and we absolutely love the language! This goes right along with Christine’s last reel about raising tough resilient kids. It requires leaning in to our kids big emotions and helping them through!

A few weeks ago, Christine spoke at the statewide Child Advocacy Institute on the balance of work, rest, and play. Even with a group of helping professionals on a serious topic, there was lots of laughter and playing! Here's an assessment she used to help them discover if they needed more play in their lives. Remember, you never outgrow your need for play! It is an essential skill in helping our bodies regulate, facilitates connection with others, and develops resilience within us!

How did you score?

How can you add more play into your life?

If you have a professional group or organization that could use a similar talk, reach out to Christine to speak at your next event. You're sure to laugh and learn!

Well, that’s a marketing facepalm. 🤦‍♀️

We ordered postcards promoting Sarah, our amazing psychiatric nurse practitioner… with the wrong phone number.
Yep, a pretty important detail. 🤦‍♀️

But here’s what we’re not going to do:
❌ Call ourselves stupid
❌ Question our competency
❌ Spiral into shame

Instead, we’re reminding ourselves (and you) that mistakes happen.
We’re human.
We missed it.
And the fix is simple: order new postcards!

If you’ve made a mistake lately—big or small—be kind to yourself. 🫶
Shame isn’t a strategy.

Try this instead:
✅ Name the problem
✅ Find a solution
✅ Adjust if it’s a pattern
✅ Move forward with grace

We believe in solutions over shame—
and we believe in YOU too. 💛

(P.S. The correct phone number is on our website, just in case 😉) It’s 225-283-4595 😀😀
