As Congress decided future funding, Mosaic Allied Voices advocates Dan and Cheryl Kinsinger stood by ready and willing to share with state and federal representatives how Medicaid is making a difference for their son and others with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Mosaic is grateful to Dan, Cheryl and volunteers who made visits and have sent nearly 7,500 emails sent to members of Congress since February 2025.

On July 3, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a sweeping budget bill that includes nearly $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid. While the outcomes were not what our staff hoped and prayed for, it is important to pause and celebrate our accomplishments. We are grateful for those who advocated on behalf of those served by Mosaic. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to protect and preserve Medicaid. We will continue to love and serve.

Happy One Mosaic Day!

On July 1, 2003, Mosaic was formed by the consolidation of Bethphage and Martin Luther Homes. One Mosaic Day is celebrated annually on July 1 as a tribute to our history and a celebration of our network’s collective efforts to empower people to live full lives.

As we celebrate, our call to “love and serve” the nearly 5,000 people in more than 750 communities we support remains strong.
