The forms we are applying are Medical QiGong, Meditation, and Yoga. Medical QiGong and Meditation. QiGong or chi kung (气功) is the Chinese philosophy and practice of aligning breath, physical activity and awareness for mental, spiritual and corporeal health, as well as the development of human potential. It includes aspects of Chinese martial arts and purportedly the spiritual awakening to one's true nature. QiGong is an excellent complement to western treatments for lowering stress and increasing the immune system. With regularly practice we activate energy flows with in and around the body, your own immune system will be able to prevent diseases, decrease any physical pain, and relieve allergies, asthma and migraines among others. The classes and workshops will give you the tools to influence your health and wellbeing. You will feel an increased happiness in your life and enjoy the ability to influence thoughts and creativity. The classes and workshops include theoretical teaching, practice exercise, and course handouts with Medical Qigong information and “how to” guidelines. Meditation. Meditation refers to any of a family of practices in which the practitioner trains his or her mind or self-induces a mode of consciousness along with the awareness of the breath in order to realize some benefit. With the hectic pace and demands of modern life, many people feel stressed and over-worked. It often feels like there is just not enough time in the day to get everything done. Our stress and tiredness make us unhappy, impatient and frustrated. It can even affect our health. We are often so busy we feel there is no time to stop and meditate! But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused. A simple ten or fifteen minute breathing meditation can help you to overcome your stress and find some inner peace and balance. Meditation can also help us to understand our own mind. We can learn how to transform our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, from unhappy to happy. Overcoming negative minds and cultivating constructive thoughts is the purpose of the transforming meditations found in the Buddhist tradition. This is a profound spiritual practice you can enjoy throughout the day, not just while seated in meditation. Suddha Yoga, Kaya Sampat Kriya (KsK) and Prana Karma. The purpose of Kaya Sampat Kriya (KSK) is clearly indicated by its component terms: kaya – body (the five bodies of essence, bliss, form, qualities, and activities); sampat(ti) - welfare, success, accomplishment, fulfillment, attainment, good state or condition, excellence; and kriya - action, practice. Thus, KSK means Practice for Integral Excellence. KSK consists of actions (kriyas) that constitute a well-rounded psycho-physical fitness practice. Popularized in the West in a much diminished form as the ostensible "Five Tibetan Rites" of the fictitious Colonel Bradford, KSK is the distillation of the confluence of centuries of ancient Indian, Chinese, and Tibetan yoga. Known in Tibet as Tsa lung, Trul khor, and Yantra Yoga, KSK is a yoga practice of the Suddha Lineage that includes self-massage and acupressure, postures, stretching, dynamic movement, breathwork, gestures, locks, mantra recitation, progressive relaxation, and meditative contemplation, to center the practitioner and align body, energy, and mind. KSK honor the practitioner's faculties and supports the manifestation of natural perfection. The practice of Suddha Yoga entails deepening practice through three subsequent levels: the Form, Energy, and Mind Sequences. KSK is a complete practice cycle, and is sufficient to achieve and maintain total body-mind fitness. No previous experience or fitness level is required. There is no competition, no striving, and no ultimate goal to be attained. All can derive benefit from the practice. Prana Karma - Life Force Therapy is the most distinctive and effective therapeutic modality in Shuddha Ayurveda. It corrects and enhances the flow of prana (life force) throughout the organism, increasing stamina and promoting rapid healing. Pranakarma sessions are administered fully clothed. You rest while the Prana Karma therapist preforms the Prana Karma for about an hour. Besides teaching QiGong, Maria studies and teaches Ayurveda Suddha (pure) Yoga, KSK, Meditation, and performs the healing form of Prana Karma under the direction of the linage holder Tashi Nyima of Dallas, Texas. Maria has been teaching Yoga since 2002 at diverse places both in the USA and in Sweden.
