We are members of the Montgomery County NC Beekeepers Association. Many people ask us how do you get started with beekeeping?
1. Join your local beekeeper group (contact your AG office for details)
2. Take a beginning beekeeping class
3. Find a mentor
The best time to start is in March so learn all you can before then!

Montgomery County NC Beekeepers Association meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm for a potluck dinner (bring a dish to pass), announcements at 6:30 pm, and the speaker starts at 7:00 pm.

Located: MCC bldg. 200, 1011 Page St, Troy. Follow the signs for beekeepers meeting. You do not have to be a member to attend.

Having a few repairs done. Today is feeling almost normal. The turkeys haven't been out of their run in a month. Lets see how they behave today

We didn't hatch much in 2025 due to our move to Montgomery county. In 2026, we will hatch quail, turkeys and ducks. Babies will be ready in April. If you want to be in our list; just PM us.

Today should be the last day of carrying water from one house to another. Vic used hot water from Denton so the ducks are having a spa treatment.

Today the turkeys moved to their new home. Did you know a turkey's snood is retractable? Fred was last one to come out of his travel cage. His snood is finally back to normal. I dont think he enjoyed the car ride.

Just brought home a harlequin rex doe. Not sure what to name her. She's super soft! In 4 months, she will raise some babies for us
