We are GROWING 💐our Gardening Club!

Did you know there are significant benefits to gardening 👩‍🌾 for those with cognitive decline?

It helps to reduce stress and anxiety 😊, decreases agitation, stimulates the mind and senses while providing a sense of accomplishment 🏆 and purpose. It’s also a great low intensity physical exercise! 🏋️

Don’t for forget all of the sensory stimulation it provides. By smelling the herbs and blooms 💐, touching the soil, hearing the sounds of nature 🐣, and seeing all of the beauty they are creating it can trigger many positive nostalgic memories. 🤍

This is just one of the fabulously stimulating activities we offer at Sage Oak. ✨
