Our therapist, Kayla Jones, is officially a fully licensed counselor! 🎉🎉

Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) must get a Masters degree, pass the National Counseling Exam, and complete 3000 clinical hours under a supervisor before being fully licensed.

Congratulations Kayla on this huge accomplishment!🌟 We so enjoy having you on the team!

At Soleil, we offer various types of therapy to meet your needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), play therapy (Client Centered Play Therapy and Prescriptive Play Therapy), mindfulness, sand tray, art, music, and yes... we will sq**rt you with a water bottle if requested and necessary.

A great tip for the holiday weekend!

Doesn’t everyone love a 3-day weekend??!!

Most of us do.

But it can be dysregulating for children who prefer structure and routine.

Changes to schedules and routines require flexibility, and for our children with executive function needs, this can be challenging.

PRO-TIP: Spend time with your student PRE-EXPERIENCING the schedule or routine change. Role play the change. Act it out. Pre-experiencing prepares the brain for what comes next, supporting flexibility.
