It all started with dozens of arrests, countless nights in jail, and a hopelessness that felt insurmountable. Then, on March 20, 1995, a new way of life was introduced to our Founder and Executive Director, Scott Wisenbaker. Once given the opportunity to change the trajectory of his life, he never looked back.

He became what we’re all promised we can become - FREE. Free from the constant misery, depression, anxiety, guilt, shame... he became a productive, happy, and confident member of our world. His attitude transformed. Once a selfish, fear-based person... now a man brimming with purpose and the desire to help others.

In the 30 years since Scott got sober, he has worked with hundreds of suffering alcoholics, showing them this amazing new path and walking with them as they begin their transformation. Most would stop there, because what more could you want?

However, he knew he could make a bigger impact. He realized that Denton, a town he had come to love, didn’t have an option for those who need help. In 2006, he opened Solutions and purposely made it a nonprofit to help those who have fallen further than anyone else. By opening Solutions, almost 20,000 people have been given the tools they need to live a life like his. A life of joy. A life of meaning.

So much has stemmed from a simple vision that was born almost 20 years ago. Thousands have gotten well. Some have opened businesses and treatment centers. Others have built beautiful families, where they are treasured and trusted. Thousands have gone off to help thousands more. The ripple effect of one person’s recovery is bigger than any of us can possibly imagine.

Denton, its people, our staff, and each client owe a debt of gratitude to this amazing man whose focus is solely planted on helping others. Thank you, Scott. We love you and congratulations on 30 years! Here’s to 30 more!

It all started with dozens of arrests, countless nights in jail, and a hopelessness that felt insurmountable. Our Story

We started our company with 10 beds and a dream to help those struggling with addiction. That dream has become a reality as we help an average of 80 clients a day after almost 14 years in business. And we help so many more than just individuals. We promote whole family health and have programs designed for every member of the family struggling an individual’s addiction.

Our services have grown to include interventions, clinical services, court services, and outpatient programs as well as continuing our cornerstone residential program.

If you or a loved one is struggling with alcohol or drug addiction, call us. We can provide resources for a permanent change.
