CLIA Is Now Fully Paperless
As of March 1, 2026, CMS has completed its transition to fully paperless CLIA operations. For agencies that perform any CLIA‑waived testing, this means CMS no longer mails paper fee coupons or CLIA certificates, and all CLIA certification and survey fees must now be paid online as checks are no longer accepted.

Agencies must also ensure they have a valid email address on file with CMS, as electronic fee notifications and CLIA certificates are now the only way CMS communicates CLIA‑related information. Missing or outdated contact information can result in billing or certification delays tied to an agency’s CLIA status.

Leadership Lesson with Marcylle: Guiding Others to Grow at Their Pace
Let me say this upfront, I love a new project, I love the momentum, and if I’m honest…I want to race to the finish.

Urgency is real. There are deadlines that matter, situations that demand quick action, and moments where speed is exactly what's called for. I'm not here to tell you to stop moving fast. Sometimes fast is the right call.

But here's what I've learned after years of leading teams in home health and hospice: not everything should move at my pace. As much as I'd love to skip the details and get to the end, I know it doesn't work like that. And when we treat everything like it is urgent especially growing people, we compromise the very thing we're trying to build.

There's a difference between moving with purpose and moving with panic. One is intentional. The other is just noise. The best leaders I've known understand which moments need urgency and which ones need presence. Hitting a compliance deadline? Move. Navigating a crisis? Move. But developing someone's confidence? Helping someone find their leadership voice? That's not a box to check. That takes time, their time, not yours.

Here's the truth: People don’t grow just because I’ve decided it’s time. They grow when they feel seen, supported, and not like they’re being rushed through some invisible checklist I’ve created in my head. The goal of real leadership growth isn't just getting there. It’s making sure the people around me actually grow along the way. The skill isn't slowing down all the time. The skill is knowing when to.

- Can you recall a time when rushing through a task compromised its quality or your enjoyment of the process? -Was the urgency real or just habit?
- How could your life improve by reducing the rush and enjoying each moment more fully? Pick one area, work, home, relationships, where being more present could change the outcome.
