First MTPJ (big toe joint) arthroplasty with total joint implant. This procedure is for severe and painful 1st MTPJ (big toe joint) arthritis. The arthritic joint is resected and is replaced with a silastic implant to eliminate bone on bone rubbing due to cartilage thinning and degeneration as well as increase and preservation of range of motion of the big toe.

*Correction on second video: angled bone cuts for the implants help to preserve the integrity of the flexor hallucis brevis tendon, not FDB tendon.

The Mayo block is an effective regional anesthesia technique for hallux and first metatarsal phalangeal joint (big toe joint) surgeries, involving a ring-like infiltration of anesthetic around the base of the first (long bone) metatarsal. It provides targeted pain relief, requires less local anesthetic than direct infiltration, and does not distort tissue planes.

Video shows osteotomy (bone) cuts for Lapiplasty 3D bunion correction through a small 3.5cm incision.

Lapiplasty 3D Bunion Correction is an advanced, patented surgical procedure that corrects all three dimensions of a bunion by fixing the root cause—an unstable joint at the base of the big toe. Using specialized titanium plating, it enables early weight-bearing in a walking boot within 2 weeks, with a high success rate (approx. 97–99%) and low recurrence.

In-office surgery excision of plantar warts (verruca) via a single treatment utilizing electrocautery for cutting and cauterization offers a more efficient solution compared to cryofreeze (liquid nitrogen), which is not only painful but also necessitates multiple treatments. Electrocautery ensures a complete one-time excision, minimizing irritation to the wart, thereby reducing the risk of spreading and enlargement.

Do you have painful bunions but also happen to be allergic to metal or titanium? We are able to fix bunions safely and completely metal free!

In extremely rare cases, patients can have a true allergy to titanium implants that are commonly used to fixate bunion corrections. In this particular case, we helped the patient correct their bunion deformity utilizing the Lapiplasty 3D bunion correction system and opted to fixate with Ossiofiber headless compression screws and staples which are all completely metal free, artifact free on CT, X-Ray, and MRI safe. Screws and staples will later fully integrate into strong healthy bone.

Endovascular surgery is employed to treat peripheral vascular disease (PAD) in the lower extremities, aiming to remove atherosclerotic plaques that obstruct blood flow and oxygen supply to the legs and feet. Following the procedure, patients typically experience reduced leg pain and cramping during ambulation, enhanced wound healing, improve skin health of legs and feet, and diminished fatigue in the legs and feet. The accompanying pre- and post-procedure angiograms illustrate improved blood perfusion in previously blocked arterial areas in the lower extremities of a patient.
