At a time when uncertainty and hardship seemed to dominate, I sought refuge in the comforting embrace of crafting blankets. The journey began as a personal coping mechanism, a way to navigate thr

ough difficult times. The rhythmic dance of knitting yarn became a meditative practice, a sanctuary where I could momentarily escape the chaos surrounding me. In the quiet moments spent weaving intricate patterns and selecting the perfect color combinations, I found a sense of control and purpose that felt elusive in the outside world. Hi there! I’m Abigail, the girl behind Cozy Crab Blankets. With so many new followers joining us recently, I thought it was time for a re-introduction!

I’m a firefighter’s wife and a proud dog mom to three wild ones. By day, I work in association management, and by night, I’m busy crafting chunky knit blankets. In the summer, you can find me traveling with my family to race Jersey Speed Skiffs – a thrilling hobby we all enjoy. When I’m not making blankets or traveling, I enjoy getting lost in a good book or spending time with my nephew.

I started Cozy Crab Blankets almost a year ago as a way to disconnect from the reality of life during a really hard time. Little did I know that a year later, I’d have so many people supporting me and my love for making blankets!
