Hello to all my existing and potential new clients. Many of you have been wondering about my plans to return to my office.

I have been reviewing current information related to the pandemic and I am speaking with people who are much better educated and aware of the dynamics of a global pandemic such as Covid-19.

Recently, our governor has decided to begin opening up the state for business, with recommendations for public safety provided by the CDC and Texas Department of Health Authorities.

I have decided that I cannot resume in person meetings at this time, because I cannot properly ensure the safety of those I serve. My primary goal is to do what is in the best interest of those who place their trust in me. Unless, I can be sure that what I am doing ensures their safety, I cannot in all good consciousness take that risk.

I will reevaluate the last week of June 2020. It is my hope that by that time, we will know whether or not we have truly reached the "peak" of the infections. I also hope to have more information on what things can be done to help ensure a safe environment for you.

When that occurs, individuals coming to the office will be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to each session, as it will be difficult to ensure absolute safety under these incredibly difficult times.

I know that this pandemic has challenged us all in ways that no one could have foreseen and further it may take some time for the ramifications of this pandemic to truly set in. My primary hope and desire is that you and those you love stay safe. We are one people, living in troubled times, but together we can and will thrive again.

As Euripides once said:

I am following events closely related to the current Covid-19 pandemic. Despite recent decisions by governor Abbott to begin opening up businesses. I am electing to postpone in person sessions until at least May 25th.

Unfortunately, I am not yet comfortable that we have adequate testing nor understanding of how many open cases there are within our community. I cannot in all good conscience take the chance of exposing anyone to this terrible virus. Anyone wishing to begin services or who is a current client can contact me directly to discuss this decision.

For those who require in person sessions and do not wish to wait, I understand and would be happy to refer you to other providers.

Please everyone be safe and I look forward to resuming normal counseling services soon. I will continue conducting counseling sessions via secure internet services or over the telephone until such time.
