For the past 3 ½ years, I’ve had the privilege of serving Denton County and beyond, helping families navigate labor, birth, and postpartum. It is with great emotion that I am officially announcing the closure of Inanna Birth & Women’s Care effective 12/31/2023 at 11:59. I have decided to retire after pouring my heart into my mission of midwifery for the past 29 years, 18 of which have been at Inanna. I had hoped to mentor someone to take my place and keep the center open, but those plans did not work out. I will be continuing care for my last few patients in a concierge kind of practice, offering only home births. I will continue to serve North Texas by being available to our community midwives for advanced repairs and a variety of other client needs and perhaps teaching opportunities. Two weeks ago we had a beautiful home birth with this precious family. We welcomed little Ayda into the world surrounded by love. We are so moved by the beauty of birth!

The team at Inanna helped this Birth Warrior mama give birth to sweet little Emerson at a whopping 10 # 6oz and with a 14.5 inch head and chest and 23” long! Jean joyfully collapsed when she heard the weight and measurements. This little girl was dubbed “double stuff” after the Oreos mama fed her in utero! Congratulations to this precious family!

This young lady, now 15, came in with her mom and sister today. Her mom had her at Inanna and her sister came in for a tour. So sweet to reconnect with this precious family!

This sweet mama has had all her babies at Inanna. Today was her 6 week appointment which always brings some “good bye” tears for both the mama and the midwives. We so love this precious family!

Jayna, Born just a few months after Inanna was first opened! She was welcomed into the world 7/8/06 in the tub behind her. Now a Junior in high school. Fresh out of a volleyball tournament lol. It is so heart warming to meet up with our “Inanna Babies”!

Lilly Bell (tri color) was the sweetest meeting her and is very concerned with people touching her. Gentry (sable color) wasn’t quite sure and is still very curious, but is mainly keeping her distance while watching us.
