This morning’s therapy dog visit brought big smiles, wagging tails and lots of love to UBH Denton! Say hello to Clover, one of our furry friends who helps bring calm and comfort to our patients and staff. 💕🐕

Fun fact: ALL the dogs get extra excited when they spot our receptionist, Sarah, aka the official Treat Lady! 🦴😁 She’s got the magic touch (and the treat bag), and the pups know it!

We’re grateful for our therapy dogs and their handlers for bringing so much joy to UBH Denton.

We shared more than just a meal—we had meaningful conversations about the strength and depth of our programs, and how we can better collaborate to serve the Denton community.

Bridging the gap between our facilities means better care, stronger partnerships, and more support for those who need it most. Looking forward to what we can build together!

We recently had the honor of hosting a Brunch and Collaborative Meeting at the Denton Police Training Facility, where we brought together leaders from the City of Denton Police Department, community leadership and the court system for a morning of connection, conversation and collaboration.

Guests enjoyed a delicious brunch while discussing how we can work more closely to address the mental health needs of our community. A special highlight of the event was a powerful presentation by Rick Rayl, our Director of Pharmacy, on the growing impact of fentanyl and its devastating effects on mental health in our region.

We were also proud to have our CEO, Matthew Bertagnole, and Associate Administrator, Anna Arwine, join us. They spoke about the exciting growth, improvements and future direction of UBH Denton—reminding us all of our commitment to progress and patient-centered care.

It was an inspiring morning filled with productive conversations and new partnerships. Together, we’re paving the way for a healthier, stronger Denton. 💙

Is THC use harming teen mental health?

Cannabis is more accessible—and more potent—than ever before. Many teens believe it is harmless, but research and clinical experience tell a different story.

We cover all of this and more in our latest blog post: http://spklr.io/6188BDoni.

In recent years, the use of THC concentrates and oils in vapes has become increasingly popular among teenagers. These products, often seen as harmless or trendy, are marketed in ways that make them appear discreet, easily accessible and relatively low-risk. However, the reality is far more complicat...
