test concerns. It’s a common misconception that “small town” is synonymous with “dated”, but at Yoakum County Hospital, that’s not the case. Even though we only serve a population area of 25,000 from West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, our facilities are nothing less than state-of-the-art. Our recently remodeled labor and delivery rooms and Dialysis Center house the newest technology to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. We also provide a wide range of services from OBGYN to home health and are trained to care for all stages of life.

Have You Heard About Our Laboratory Wellness Program?

Yoakum County Hospital is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of our community. We’re proud to offer our annual Laboratory Wellness Program, providing a convenient, walk-in option for wellness screenings—no physician’s order required.

Join us on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM for this special event. This program is open to the public and surrounding areas, offering a group of lab tests designed to help you monitor your health. Results will be mailed within 1–3 business days.

Please note: These screenings are not a substitute for regular medical care. We encourage you to consult your primary care provider once you receive your results.

Congratulations to Joana Hinojos, RN – DAISY Award Honoree!

We are proud to recognize Joana Hinojos, RN, from our Medical Surgical/Labor & Delivery unit, as a recipient of the DAISY Award—an honor reserved for extraordinary nurses who consistently go above and beyond in caring for patients and their families.

Joana was nominated by a patient’s family member who described her as “a very amazing nurse who puts her patients' feelings first to give them the most comfortable stay they can get” during their delivery experience.
