🚨 2025 Decontamination Training Complete! 🚨

Last week, Yoakum County Hospital wrapped up our 2025 Decontamination Training Program — a 2-day course preparing staff to respond to mass-casualty incidents involving chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive hazards.

Our training sessions combined classroom lectures with hands-on practice. Staff trained on identifying signs of exposure, mass-casualty triage, setting up decontamination operations, carry out patient decontamination procedures, and using high-level PPE.

A huge thank-you to Mallorey Garcia for acting as our patient and John Wingate with Vest for the incredible hands-on training! Your support helps ensure our team is ready to protect our community. 💙

👻 Halloween Safety First! 👻

Halloween is almost here, and festivities begin this weekend! As you head out for trick-or-treating, parties, and haunted fun, Yoakum County Hospital reminds everyone to make safety a top priority. 🕸️

Trick-or-Treating Tips:
👩‍👧 Always have an adult with young children.
📱 Older kids should stay in groups and check in.
🍬 Inspect candy before eating.
🏡 Visit only well-lit homes.
🚪 Never enter a house or car for treats.

Don’t forget to stop by the YCH Emergency Room— our amazing nurses will be outside handing out candy! 🍭👩‍⚕️
