Shinnery Oaks Community wants to honor those who shaped our community. Every day is full of opportunities for our residents to engage in social events, hobbies, and other recreation as well as enjoy excellent dining options. The county and its residents saw the need for something special and out of this vision came Shinnery Oaks Community. Since 1949 with the opening of the hospital, Yoakum County has been dedicated to providing quality healthcare. Yoakum County has once again shown its commitment by building this beautiful facility. Our goal is to provide a caring, homelike environment where residents, families, and employees are loved. We view this community as the residents' home and we make every effort to provide as many choices as possible in activities, schedules, and dining options to make it comfortable for them. We welcome family and friends with a number of social areas to visit and events families and friends may participate in. Families and friends are encouraged to visit as often as they want for as long as they want. Location

🌟 Celebrating CNA Week at Shinnery Oaks! 🌟

This week, we honor our incredible Certified Nursing Assistants who make a difference in the lives of our residents every single day. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work do not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for everything they do.

To celebrate, we had an amazing swim party at our facility! 💦 It was a day filled with laughter, fun, and sunshine, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. Our CNAs work tirelessly to ensure our residents feel loved and cared for, and it was wonderful to see them enjoying a well-deserved break.

Working at Shinnery Oaks is a joy because of the incredible team that feels like family. Each day here is a chance to make a positive impact, and our CNAs are at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you to our CNAs for your unwavering commitment and kindness. You truly are the backbone of our community, and we couldn't do it without you!
