Meanings of the 12th House:

Posting because I see so many misinterpretations and blatant misrepresentations of this area of the sky.

"It hath signification of private enemies, of witches, great cattle - as horses, oxen, elephants, &c.; sorrow, tribulation, imprisonments, all manner of affliction, self-undoing, &c., and of such men as maliciously undermine their neighbours, or inform secretly against them.
It hath cosignificators Pisces and Venus; Saturn doth much joy in that house, for naturally Saturn is author of mischief; and it ruleth in man's body the feet.
In colour it presents the green.
It's a cadent house, feminine, and vulgarly sometimes called cataphora, as all cadent houses may be."

Btw, there is a Saturn-Moon opposition on Valentine's day, with a Venus-Ura**s octile and a Mercury-Mars tri-octile.

Saturn-Moon brings dense, heavy emotions and thoughts.

Mercury-Mars is wanting to communicate but is frustrated and that communication may be rougher than intended - please be kind.

Ura**s-Venus calls for expressions of love and beauty and sensuality that are individualistic, iconoclastic and unpredictable.

TL;DR: Valentine's Day has some rough-looking astrological weather for a day when most people are celebrating love. Be kind, make sure plans are solid, and watch your tongue with those you love on this day. Speak clearly and try to do something spontaneous!

P.S. Those with placements at/near 8 degrees of cardinal signs or 19 degrees of mutable signs are likely to be affected most readily.

Moon in Leo, jan 8th

Under the Cancer moon, we all experienced a great release. It's waters washed away the old wants, needs, and pains and cleaned the slate for new beginnings. Now with the moon under the sign of vibrant Leo, we get to assess how we want to build on the clean foundation that Cancer brought us. What do we want to make of this cleanse?

The full moon is over and is beginning to wane. We are urged to turn inward for a time until the new moon, when we can blossom forth with the new insight and direction that is brewing now.

When a planet goes retrograde:

We are familiar with Mercury Retrograde. Mercury - from our perspective - is moving backward across the sky and in the Zodiac. Of course, the actual planet stays right on course. However, we look at the inferred meaning of Mercury - the planet ruling communication and the mind - retraces his steps. You can think about a retrograde simply as a planet turning its energy "inward" and thus the times during the shift (going retrograde or going direct) are when the notorious "Mercury Retrograde made me late" moments happen. Events ruled by Mercury can range from car troubles to old contacts resurfacing.

Mercury is asking us to slow down and watch our step, first off. Mercury retrograde is notorious for causing misunderstandings and delays. You'll have the opportunity to, if you slow down and speak carefully, create deeper understanding and be able to move through the retrograde and the post-retrograde period with greater certainty. Consider what has worked for you over the past several months and what needs to improve. If someone from your past shows up, it may be a sign that either between you or within yourself there is unfinished business - energy is stuck there and Mercury wants to revisit this so you can move on.
