The Colorado Legislature is considering a bill that could be the most impactful one introduced in the last several years to help give lower income patients access to affordable medication, and we like it!!

SB-124 requires non-profit hospitals to use the dollars they get through the Federal 340B program to decrease the out-of-pocket costs for low-income patients. That's exactly what that Federal program was suppose to do, and this bill reinforces the intent and ends the fraud that has overtaken it.

Are below cost reimbursement practices by Pharmacy Benefit Managers creating opportunity for criminals to enter the legitimate supply chain?

PBMs, by under reimbursing pharmacies, are creating a demand for pharmacies to seek lower priced medications even when they can't exist at that price.. Criminals appear to be happy to become part of the supply chain.
