Another lovely Denver Fall day and the view from our clinic is lovely!!
Here's some advice from the Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective for coping with this seasonal change from late summer to autumn-
1-It's a great time of year for structure. List goals and priorities, set boundaries, and plan events!
2-Wear a scarf!!! You know that reaction you get in your neck and shoulders when the wind hits you? You tighten up. This causes neck and shoulder tension which a scarf can prevent!
3-Hydrate! Many of us forget about drinking water with the cooler temps. But it's dry out there!!!! Best to drink room temp or warm water/tea!
4-Eat warm foods! Soups, stews, and stir-fries! Also add warming herbs to food. Ginger, Cinnamon, Cumin, Cardamon, Fennel, Orange Peel, Clove, and Black/White Pepper! Sounds delicious!
