OHIO Rule!

One of quickest ways to fall behind with keeping an organized home is to allow dirty dishes and laundry to pile up. It's something that a lot of people struggle with. Myself included.

Enter 'The OHIO Rule' - Only Handle It Once. Whenever you find yourself feeling the urge to drop a dirty dish in the sink, or leave clean laundry unfolded in the basket, repeat this phrase - the piles are not going away, and the situation will only get worse the longer you procrastinate. Do yourself a favor and be done with it sooner rather than later.

If it helps, try putting signs up to help you remember. This is exactly what I did. One went above my kitchen sink, and another in my laundry room. Don't wait! Start practicing the OHIO Rule today! You will thank yourself later.

Hey 'Friends'! Do any of you have a 'Monica Closet'? Monica Geller was a neat-freak with a dirty secret - her dreaded storage closet.

For this particular project, the client's linen closet had become a catch-all for any item she didn't have the time to deal with.

With a little bit of functional organization direction, we were able to make a place for wanted items and donate/get rid of all unwanted items.
