I like to leave my phone and intrusive thoughts in the other room and revel in fifteen minutes of uninterrupted time that's just for me.
Small rituals calm my soul and help me feel more grateful. I've built many rituals into my life, and one of my favorites is the meditative mud mask facial I give myself.
I like to start with herbal tea, a cozy robe, and absolutely NO multitasking.
After I give myself a mini facial massage with some CBD oil, I apply the mud. I take 10 minutes or so to meditate, or to breathe deeply and just be present while I wait for it to dry.
When the mask dries, it helps draw out impurities, slough off dead skin, and rebalance my winter skin. After I remove the mask, my face feels fresh, velvety, and ready for a little serum and moisturizer to hydrate my dry Colorado skin. (If you know, you know). I love the way it makes my skin look and feel, not to mention the way it adds another glimmer to my day.
