To all of our followers, current patients, and previous patients. Our office manager is in need. She has been dealing with severe pain for many years from a car accident when she was a teenager. It has progressed to a point that something substantial must be done. Our system in the US has failed her, as the insurance companies do not allow coverage for the procedure she needs. The medical system is so stuck in an insurance regulated system, that they will not even modify their methods when she does not use insurance. For these reasons, she is having to go outside of the US for a much needed surgery to replace 2 lumbar discs. As many of you know, disc issues are our specialty, with top of the line equipment that has not been available to our community. This, however, is not enough. There is a time and place for everything and she has reached the time for a surgical intervention. This woman is amazing and has been the face of our office for years always providing quality care with a smile. The majority of you would never realize the pain she deals with daily. She does the job of helping others all day to go home and try to recover everyday herself. She will be traveling to Germany early next year to get the necessary surgery that is leaps and bounds beyond what our current system allows. We are very hopeful that this will be a fix for many of her issues and allow her to live her life as a young woman should be able to, without constantly suffering from socializing or work. The procedure is approximately $60,000 plus travel expenses. A gofundme has been set up for her along with a fundraiser at her home church. Please share her gofundme page if you can and even if you only donate $5, you are making a drastic change in a person's life that spends their days trying to help others.
