Last weekend's Rally for Recovery provided the perfect backdrop for unveiling new Recovery Cards Project cards!

For the The Denver Gazette, Tricia Stortz reported on the importance of bringing the recovery community together. Her thoughtful story included a conversation with local Recovery Cards Project artist Lizzy Truskin. “The idea that people can access these cards digitally for free, and that they bring hope through art, is wonderful,” Lizzy said. “My card reads, ‘Trust in the magic of new beginnings.’ I wanted that feeling of positivity and hope for the future to come through.”

We had the best time this weekend at the Rally for Recovery, engaging with the recovery community and sharing messages of hope. We released eight new Recovery Cards, handed out hundreds of cards, and collected numerous cards with messages written by rally attendees for strangers who need a little encouragement in their recovery journey.

Thank you to Advocates for Recovery Colorado Non-Profit for this incredible event, and to everyone who stopped by our booth and wrote a card!

This is what it's all about: sharing real stories that recovery is possible. We appreciate the Sterling Journal-Advocate's support of National Recovery Month by sharing Jack Devie's article.

"One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from both farming and recovery is to never give up. Even when things seem impossible, you push through. You keep going. I’ve become a peer support specialist to help others because I want to be the person I needed when I was struggling. If you’re out there, stuck in addiction, just know: you can recover. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You’re not alone, and you’re worth it."

Jack Devie is one of those voices. A farmer from Sedgwick, Jack wrote an article about his recovery journey and shared local resources for people who live in northeast Colorado.

We're grateful to The Fort Morgan Times for sharing Jack's article as part of its monthly Live Healthy, Be Happy feature section focused on health and wellness. Please read and share!

September is National Recovery Month. Brian’s story through Lift The Label highlights the importance of having support from family, friends, or community to remind you that recovery is possible and that you CAN do it. Thank you to The Daily Sentinel of Grand Junction for sharing Brian's recent article, "Finding Hope in Recovery."

"My message to everyone is that recovery is tough, but it’s possible. It’s not just about quitting — it’s about rebuilding your life. For anyone out there struggling, remember this: recovery isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. With the right support — whether from family, friends or a community that believes in you — you can do it."
