First real day of work on the trailer/camper/tiny apothecary/soul project/future home of Woven Herbals. And dayyyyum does it feel good.

Goal was to get this window in and finished. But a hold up with a screw that looks like a star but turned out to be a square cost us several hours.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But isn't that how life is? It's a thing. And if theres a thing, it can be just a little thing. But the smallest of things can hold up the biggest of them. Being able to have patience through the process is key. A lesson that asks me to give it attention over and over again.

THE AWAKENING HAS BEGUN

It's been a little slow on this page because, to be honest, I've been in all the things. Unearthing childhood grief, immersing myself in community rejuvenation and working to discover how exactly I want to be an herbalist and show up in this world.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But today, Ostara, also known as Spring Equinox is such a special, sacred day. From here on out our days are longer than our nights and soon the earth will begin to come alive again. Heightened energy is abound while all that is buried in the dark will begin to push towards the light. Now is the time to be absolutely sure of what seeds you are watering and to ensure that those seeds possess the courage of the seed, the courage to surrender to a process they cannot see all in the name of a bloom. A seed immersed in the darkness cannot imagine itself a rose or hyacinth but once it cracks open, the only thing that will ensure it makes it there is if it cracks all the way.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The work I am building is bigger than just being an herbalist and in the secret circles of my community and inner craft I call myself a bloom facilitator.
And the bloom begins with the courage of the seed.

When we dig within, we find all the things that have had the time to mature in the dark depths of ourselves.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's quite possible that the closest we can get to a real pirate journey in this day and age is to dig within ourselves in search of the buried treasure we have within.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That treasure becomes discoveries which then become tools. And as we expand our toolbox our ability to show up and make waves in this world expands also.

What buried treasure can you honor in yourself? And can you commit to the bravery necessary to keep digging? To never put down the shovel?

Hello friends, weavers, humans with curiosity and openness!
Woven Herbals has a deep creation story. And here you'll find another raw, vulnerable moment for Woven Herbals.
My place as a weaver of the story of interbeing came to me in May of 2020, long before I had seriously considered plant medicine being my medium. As I came into more alignment last year, all of the pieces started to fit.
Here's the video of me reading the poem to my mother (and Joe) and her honest, raw reaction to it.
**Please excuse the poor quality. Due to the nature of the collective moment and her residing over 1,000 miles away, this reveal was done over zoom. And their quality isn't anything to write home over.
