Friendly reminder for anyone that needs to hear it… the seeds you plant now take time to bloom.

In this fast-paced world we live in we often expect things to happen/change overnight. Yet that is not the case in most experiences. Slow down, take time to care for yourself. Know that the small conscious choices you make now to better care for yourself will have profound impact over time.

Permission to hold yourself with more love and compassion. Be kind to yourself. Every moment is a fresh opportunity to begin again. Get curious, without self-criticism, and start small.

What is one thing you can do today for yourself? Maybe it’s taking a short walk, or a few deep breaths before your next meeting, or sitting down while enjoying your next meal. Hint: get out of your to-do list and consider what you need in your whole being to experience more joy in this moment.

Looking for a simple way to amplify your state, encourage gratitude, and live with more joy? Get outside. Simply appreciate the beauty that surrounds you. Even if you live in the city, surrounded by concrete buildings… appreciate the architecture. Just a couple moments of gratitude a day has been scientifically proven to shift your mental well-being.

This evening I sat outside and watched the sunset, the flower petals from the trees were coming down like raindrops, and the wind chime was playing a beautiful melody. Pure joy and simplicity for me. 💜✨

Find self-care, and joy and ease, in the micro-moments of your day. You have the power to support yourself with more love, compassion, and non-judgment. Ask yourself: “what is one thing in this moment I can do to find joy and ease?”. It may be as simple as a deep breath or acknowledging something challenging that is going on.

When I make this organic arugula and kale salad I typically eat it right out of the bowl it was made in.



Ingredients:
Lacinato Kale (aka Dino or Tuscan)
Arugula (aka Rocket/Roquette)
Olive Oil (high quality)
Lemon Juice (usually 1 or 2 lemons, depending on amount of greens)
Salt (I use Himalayan, avoid iodized/table salt)

Directions:
1. Check your mental/physical state, create a space where you feel as much joy and love as possible before you begin. If you’re feeling disconnected, sad, frustrated, angry, etc. … acknowledge those feelings with more love, compassion, and non-judgement, awareness is the first step in order to shift your state, to reset try to take a few deep breaths, get outside, take a shower, or even turn on a song you love and dance it out for a couple minutes.
2. Massage Kale with Olive Oil until leaves are coated and soften slightly (they will have an oily sheen to them), the amount of oil will depend based on the amount of greens you are using, start with a splash and add more as needed
3. Add Arugula and mix, you may need to add a bit more olive oil
4. Add Lemon and Salt to taste

Variations:
- try it with any variety of lettuce
suggestions: romaine, or just arugula, or just kale (leafy kale works too)
- add freshly grated parmesan
- add roasted veggies
- serve with an ancient grain like quinoa
- add grilled or roasted chicken (or meat of your choice)

Enjoy! Sit down (this helps your nervous system to digest your food better) and eat with love and joy.

Do something to care for yourself today! It doesn’t need to be a grand gesture, perhaps it’s just saying something kind to yourself… which can he hard for many of us. So give it a try! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Love yourself, care for yourself, and be kind to yourself.

Two months from today we start a year-long journey of self-care and vibrant living! The only thing you will regret is not starting to take better care of yourself. You, and only you, are in control of your well-being. This program combines transformational group coaching with one-on-one mentorship to meet you exactly where you are at.
